The Girl Behind the Blog

Trying to introduce exactly who I am in under 1500 words is complicated, at best. First and foremost, I am blessed. Blessed far and above anything that I could ever have imagined or prayed for. I'm married to the most patient husband a girl could have. My kids are my rock, and have literally been what gets me out of bed some days. Before you judge me and think my life is all hunky-dory, I can assure you it hasn't always been. I've been down some rough roads throughout my life, and I've been broken. Crushed, really. But I'm a walking testament to the power of grace and redemption. I can't get into all of that now, because what would I write about later? At some point, I hope to share some of those stories; I know we don't experience pain and endure hardships to keep them to ourselves. But today, I'm a different person. With the love and grace of my God, the strength and honesty of my husband, and innocence and life of my kids I have so much to strive for. I've accomplished more in the past 5 years that I was told I never could, or ever would. The phrase "I'm an over comer" should be my motto. Incredibly, I have so much yet to achieve.
